Dano Gorman joins SlapTap.com
Dano filmed these tricks when he first got his carbon 2's a month ago or so. He kept the edit locked away so that he could use it towards his announcement for his new sponsor 'SlapTap', one of the newer inline shops emerging in the UK. Go check them out for all your inline needs.
Congratulations Dano on the new sponsor!

James Keyte : First hours on Carbon 2's
So after a huge delay once again for James delivery he finally received his USD carbon 2's, below is what he had to say about them along with a few tricks form his first session in them..
I also feel like we should include james' intro to the message he sent us about the carbons, as this sounds alot more personal..
"..as soon as i saw them i was juiced! They fitted absolutely perfect, usually 'cus i tend to get a size smaller all my skates hurt on the first session! Surprising these didn't hurt at all! No numb feet and no blisters. I tried a pair of the old carbons which hurt alot, especially round my ankle and shin, now they have the thick padding its sooo much better. The cuff just makes them so supportive yet perfect flexability. I couldnt believe how responsive they are! I always no exactly where my feet are, its actually weird how light they are, i found myself over jumping sometimes. There's not a thing i would change in this skate, USD got it pretty spot on. ;)"

"..we finally got out for a roll on the carbons, we hit street for the first skate and my god they are pretty sick! The weather was super icey man, just came off night shift as well haha, 3hrs sleep! But excellent first day in them, couldn't be happier.."

New Years with Al Hooi
So Brighton played host to an epic New Years Eve party which took place at Adam Kola, Jake Eley and Ed Inglis' house. In attendance were many talented individuals, such as USD's Albert Hooi who flew over with his girlfriend Zoe, Sam tuffnell, Nick Lomax, female star Jenna Downing as well as up and coming UK band Esben and the Witch, Burberry model Tom Penfound and a blast from the past Alex Pym, who ended up having to get a ride to the hospital due to very bad form come 2am!
Many outrageous acts took place, such as an unknown female peaking on drugs uncontrollably and shitting herself then laying a feces on the floor mat in the bathroom, a whole bottle of petrone down you Big Al puking up all over Adam Kola's room and anything else he can find to pop into, another unknown feminine spraying ketchup all over Jake's door and room, party doggers from all over Brighton were gate crashing by the time it got shut down.
Somehow the next day we found time to try and go skate, but the weather wasn't on our side as per usual and Albert took a tumble on his first trick.

Dano Gorman Carbon 2's
A merry Xmas to you all from the conference UK! We hope those stockings were filled with multiple conference products.
Our little ripper from Dublin received the Carbon 2's just in time for xmas and below is what he had to say about them along with a short video of his first day in them.
A huge thankyou to Donal Glackin for shooting these rad photos of young Gorman!
I have skated both the Deshi carbons and the first USD carbon skate. I have loved the carbon skate since day one, but the USD Carbon 2 has improved in so many ways! The skate feels so much nicer than the previous carbon skates. With the extra padding around the back of the liners makes the skate so much more comfortable and the new Cuff gives your ankle way more support on topside tricks. Also the new metal buckle looks way stronger than the previous plastic buckles that I had some problems with on the Deshi and USD carbon skate.
This skate is unbelievably good and I recommend them for any one that thought that the previous carbon skates had bad ankle support, because these ones have improved in that area more than anywhere else.
The Carbon 2 is available at your favorite skate shop NOW. For any queries please get in contact, a.kola@powerslide.org, or if you have any photos of you skating in them, send them over and we'll do our best to get them up on the site!

Neil Ingall Xsjado UK
As well as living the high life mingling with all the stars in London and infecting everyone with his charisma and charm, Neil has just recovered from a knee injury and is back on his blades again.
Neil also rides for the louts that are 'Dirt Box' and has just had a long sleeve T shirt produced to go into their new line that has just launched, so all go rep that and i'm sure you'll magically be given the lady luck that Neil possesses!
Below are a few clips captured from when we went skating one day dubbed over with some words about what skating has brought to his life. Neil has been reading 'Carl Jung Man and his symbols' and had this to say...
"Carl Jung Man and his symbols, he studied under Freud then found loop holes in Freud's teaching and started to see the world of psychological analysis very differently. Analyzed over 800 patients using dream analysis and the sorts of symbols that appeared in patients dreams, became detrimental to the analysis.
It is a really nice book and very interesting reading the recollections of the dreams, it is sort of like reading short stories"

Glasgow shredded
So our main man from Dublin, USD flowrider Dano Gorman managed to find a working plane in the snow blizzard to venture over to Glasgow with his bro Jay to attend the Roll Kings jam in East Kilbride, Scotland.
Check out their documentation of the trip below, as well as a sneaky clip of our own Joe Atkinson who unfortunately showed up late due to a fair few trains and buses cancelling on him.

Animal from WWF 'Legion of Doom' fame joins USD
.......actually South Coast legend Sam Tuffnell is now strapping into a fresh pair of USD coup de tat's.
Sam has been a massive powerhouse in the British skate scene for years, but only now is his potential being recognised. Sam recently turned WRS pro in the states whilst on his whirlwind Winnebago trip across the west coast with his homeboy Keith Wisdom.
For more information on Sam and any other British conference rider keep checking back at this blog. We also have a new rider to announce very soon to join Sam and the rest of the motley crue.
For now though, check Sam out below hitting up one spot on a cold Brighton morning as well as talking about his early days of skating after first learning to grind (which being Sam was a bloody ao makio).
